Best way to tell if you have ABS?
I have finally solved my non-engaging front axle issue. My right front hub is loose. So it looks like I need to buy a new hub assembly, however I see that there are ones for trucks with ABS and ones without.
my truck has an ABS light on the dash I see every time I start it but it does not act like it has ABS (never felt it work) and I do not see any sensor wires going to the wheels.
So, do I have ABS or not? what is the best way to tell for sure?
thanks for the help pacmule

Open your hood and look up, there should be a sticker that says what kind of ABS you have.
There were two ABS systems in '98, rear only was stock, 4 wheel optional.
If you have 4 wheel there will be a control unit under the hood with brake lines going to it on the driver's side rear fender.
