Average Fuel Milage For A 12V
Hey Guys, I'm just wondering what everyone is getting for there fuel milage. I would like some numbers on stock engines (if there is any on here) , as well as modified engines. ;D ;D

I get 19-20 driving 70 miles to work and back, mixed driving rural roads, highway and city. If I go on a road trip I get a little better, if I stay below 70mph, current high is 22. I really couldn't tell any difference from sliding my plate forward, otherwise stock here. But not for long ;D six more days until the ATS stage 4 and a few extras. ;D

I too am a bit curious about mileage. I appreciate the mileage some of you are reporting, but with one question.........What rear gear ratio do you have?
Make sure that you let us know....I have the 4.10's and am feeling lousy with my 11 towing and not alot more empty.........I'm sad :'(

Re:Average Fuel Milage For A 12V
With the 4.10s, I'll get 19 to 19 1/4 empty overall driving reasonable. At 19k gross combined with the fifth, I'll average 12.5 on a long haul staying at 65.

OH MY GOD!!
My truck MUST be broke! I have never got more than 13-14 empty.
What is wrong with my truck?
My timing was advanced to 15.5 degrees. I am using a K&N filter. All of my fluids have been changed to synthetic. New 6 tires too. I don't burn a bit of oil. I use Amsoil Diesel 10w 40.
Help! ???

Doesn't sound to bad for a 4X4, Dually with 4.10 gears.
Maybe just need to lighten up on the go pedal a bit. :

96 with 4" exhaust, cat hanging in barn, 3.54s, soft tonneau cover, stock trans, no plate mods (yet ;D), 285/16s
average commute is about 50 miles - 6 miles is slow rolling, balance is 70mph - 20-21 mpg
have seen as high as 26 mpg on a leisurely cruise to mountains running 55-60 - on several occasions
but mine is also a 2WD regular cab - lightest, least rolling resistance version of these trucks
duallies, 4WD, and extended/quad cabs will not get this kind of mileage - if all three are on the truck then your mileage will vary for the worst
