anything to look at mechanically on a 95?

anything to look at mechanically on a 95?
Found one dad is interested in, a 95 auto, 4wd CC long box. Stock they are just a little more powerful than our 1st gen trucks, correct? Anyway to visually tell if they've been turned up? Do those trannys hold up ok? I've never paid attention to autos, but dad needs one for mom to drive.

The autos are a good strong unit as long as the design parameters haven't been exceeded by jacking up the engine HP.
If the pump has been turned up the break off screw below will either be replaced by a regular screw/ bolt or look chewed up like someone tampered with it.
The paint on the 8mm hex plug could also looked chipped off.
