This BB has a Classified section or try ebay, if you want to fly. I have also heard that TX is the place to buy a truck. I think I saw a guy on this BB who says he flys down every other year and drives the truck he just bought back. May save you a few dollors and would be a nice trip

BigBlue? Halerazor, BB is short for bulletin board, like the DTR forums. At the top of the page click where it says "Classifieds" and you'll find some trucks. BTW, I got my truck off Ebay about a year ago and had no problems.

Also check http://www.traderonline.com/ They have it divided up by trucks, motorcycles, heavy equipment, etc. You can search by area code, geographic location, etc. I looked for 3 months and found mine. Got everything I wanted except the color, but I will live with it.
I had to drive 4 hours one way to go look at it. The owner was nice enough to meet me halfway when it came time to pick it up. I looked for 3 months, then increased my distance that I was willing to travel (on the search engine they let specify how many miles you are willing to drive) and found it right off. The owner said he had it for sale for as long as I was looking. Had a few calls, but nobody came out and looked. I still continued to look for others, then a week later the guy called me with a nice little price decrease and added a 5th wheel hitch in the deal! I was getting ready to call him with a counter offer when he called me with a much lower price than what I was gonna offer!
Good for me! I'm from michigan (salt) and this truck just moved to indianna up from georgia and never saw a winter. Carfax proved it with the registrations. It needed a little tlc and cleaning, but a good solid truck.
So hang in there, keep looking, and good luck. Good idea to bone up on what problems each model/year is famous for, so you can be an informed buyer. Also be willing to walk away. If it's meant to be it will be. Just make sure if it's a truck your mildly interested in, don't show it, leave your phone number, and always offer less. The worst they are gonna say is "no". Let us know how it works out . Kevin
PS, heres another link to keep ya busy:

I found my '98 12v on Autotrader's website. www.traderonline.com
It took me a year to find, was 150mi away. I wanted a westcoast and not a rustbelt truck.

Depending on whether or not my 1st gen gets repaired, I might be in the market for a '96 -'98 12v, 4X4, Auto, Extra Cab, Long Bed. Then I'll pull the bed and put a new utility body on it.
My 1st gen might be at the limit.
