Another Oil Leak Thread
Alright, this has gone on long enough.
About a year ago my engine developed an oil leak when I did my studs along with the twins. I ground the valve covers down and got them eventually to where they seal (at least I'm about 98% sure they are sealing).
Now the leak has developed an intermittent attitude and sometimes shows up and sometimes stays dry. I have found that when I park on an incline it leaks more then not.
I have put dye into the oil and have been running it for awhile now and still have not been able to find the source of the leak (oil on the side of the block does not light up) but I have traced it down to leaking on the back of the block on the passenger side right in front of #6 exhaust outlet.
I need to get this leak figured out since I have a SBC 3600 DD clutch just sitting in my shop waiting to be installed because I am too afraid to put it in because I do not want to get oil on it and ruin the clutch.
Also I do not want to hear the "Its a cummins its totally normal" excuse because its not normal and I don't want to ruin a clutch.
Thanks for everyones help in advance.
