Another battery question
After cleaning, is it better to put the battery cable clamps on the posts dry or would it be better to put a thin layer of dielectric grease between clamps and posts? If this wouldn`t hurt the connection maybe the grease would help with the corrosion problem? Thanks for your replies.

My personal feeling is most of the treatments you get do nothing but collect dirt and dust then causing a melted mess of crud all over the top of the battery. this in turn can lead to small battery draw issues if bad enough. so in a nut shell just keep em clean, tight and dry and check them every once and a while.

What we do is what the electric company does. Clamp it dry then we poot a purple goo on it to prevent corrotion. works really well but i dont know if you can buy that goo in stores although im sure theres a very similar product out there. hope that helps a little.

there are several aerosol battery terminal protectants. Be careful with 'em though because most are insulators and if you don't assemble everything first tight, the insulating values of the protectant will also hinder the connection. Your best course of action is a tight assembly first, then protect them. Any thing else could cause the terminal to loosenup and then fail.
