Aluminum Ford Wheels
A buddy gave me four 17" rims with 1/2 worn tires off his F-350. When installing them; noticed the big hole in the middle is a little bigger than the dodge...........as in there isn't any support from the axle hub. The 8-lug bolt pattern fit perfectly, took it for a test drive and can't tell the difference. Also, used the lug nuts from my steel wheels. Is this going to work or do I need to scrap the idea/change to different lug nuts. Thanks for any advice.

Not sure on the lugnuts, but both the Ford and Dodge are lug centric, not hub centric.
I would keep an eye on the torque of the nuts, perhaps use bluing to check the nut to wheel contact area?
Also make sure the stud still has threads past the end of the nut.

Just a FYI, almost all OEM wheels are hubcentric. Yes, they use acorn style lug nuts, but the hub still centers the wheels. Most aftermarket wheels get away from that to fit a larger number of vehicles without having to change the hub bore size.

Whats the bore diameter on the ford wheels? I know my SRW dodge wheels are the same bore size as the pre-97 Ford SRW hubs. The DRW Ford wheels have a larger bore than the Dodge DRW, however.
