97 vs. 98 47RE?

I was just trying to order a rebuild kit and a few other parts for my trans, in a 98 12V. They list 2 rebuild kits, 1990-97 and 98-02 47RE. Which would apply to my truck? Usually when I see parts listed for 12v they stop at 97, even though the first half of 98 was 12v, 98.5 is 24v. Are the trannies different or should I go with the 90-97 kit?
