i found a wrecked 97 3500 5 speed. i was wondering if anyone can tell me if this would be a good donor truck to use for my tranny swap?? will the pedals, master cylinder assembly, transfercase...etc ..all that work in mine? i understand i would need to change the "top plate" of the tranny to work with the shifter and console style of my newer one...is there anything else im missing? id like to go look at this today and maybe buy it if the parts would work..thanks

ok i went and looked at the truck..im thinking about getting it so ill have most my parts...is there anyone that would want the motor??? 97 12 valve with 107,700 miles....if so let me soon, or pm me...id like to justify spending the money by knowing i can get sumthing back fast getting rid of the motor....
