A friend of mine has a 97 5 speed tow truck and it is running odd by odd I mean when it is cold it runs great but once he drives it about 4 miles or so it starts to hesitate real bad and won't get out of its own way. Where is a good place to start looking or does someone know what the problem might be. It isn't just now and then it's all the time.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I will say this- the more information you can give, the better. Mileage, auto or manual, mods, maintenance schedule, babied or beat on, etc.

 

It's a 4x4 5 speed with a pto for the sling. It's got 165k on the clock all stock with regular maintenance. It's a tow truck so I guess you can say it was worked.
