Hello all, first post, engine will run fine with gentile acceleration or even mashing it in gear, but to do so in neutral sputters and get whitish blue smoke pleare help,<br><br><br>p.s. no mods yet waiting to get this problem fixed? ???

 

How many miles?? I'm gonna go out on a ledge here and say timing....maybe someone with a little more knowledge may have a better idea.

However it would still be a good idea to get a professional to time your pump to 16* BTDC someone along your BOMBing path.

My 97 had slipped all the way down to 10 or 11* BTDC (stock is 13.5*) @ 125-130K miles set it to 16* and gained a solid 1.5mpg at the pump! ;D

 

I'm gonna venture and say this is normal. Especially if the engine is cold. <br>Both of my CTD's would do that.<br>As long as it doesn't do it when your running down the road, you're fine. If it does, I would look at the timing as well.
