94 Dually to single rear axle
I did a search but came up with nothing.
Looking at picking up a 94 3500 dually. Would like to switch it to a single rear axle. Will a single axle bolt right up?? Do I have to weld in new spring perches?
Thanks

Johnh I need to drive this truck in the snow so that is the main reason for needing a single axle in the rear. What type of rims did you run in the rear? Any pictures? Are the inside dually wheels at the same width as the front wheels of the truck? I am going to look at the 94 Dually this week. So I have no actually seen the truck in person.

tech-eh thanks for the info. I will most likely see if I can get a newer rear end with disc brakes.
If I add rear disc brakes that also means I have to change out the front master cylinder as well?

So guys if I remove the dually rear fender flare is the bed a regular truck bed? Or does it have a larger opening cut into the bed???
I go to look at the truck on Friday. We agreed on $4000.00 if I like it he will trailer it to my house. Right now it has a rough running issue. I think its the lift pump and or over flow valve. It has:
new head gasket
hx40 turbo
50 HP injectors
3k spring kit
steering stabilizer
new track bar
new brakes front and rear
new stereo and all new speakers
and some other goodies......
