Hey guys, did a search and couldn't find anything so bear with me here.

I saw an ad for a '98 CTD for sale. I BELIEVE it is a 12v, but am unsure (the ad doesn't say, and the truck's logos don't really look like they say 24v on them, but it's hard to see). One thing that it mentions is that the tranny (5 speed) is shot. What transmission did the 98s get? It's the NV4500, right? If so, what's a typical rebuild of one cost? Is there a stronger aftermarket option that would be better than having the stock tranny rebuilt?
