I recently found that I have 5 out of 6 injectors leaking, does anybody know where I can get the copper washers at?

I have changed my valvecover gaskets and cleaned everything off drove it alittle while and checked again and 5 of the injectors where leaking. It's wet around the bottom of the injectors and on #4 it's standing around the injector and running down side of the block.

You can get them from dodge, but they are a little over $2 a picec i think. Im sure you can get them from a Cummins dealer if you have one close though.

Should be the same washer for the return line regardless of injector. They use the same body, but a different nozzle.

I will assume you just put in your 370's...because a leak really should not have developed, if they sealed when you initially installed them.

With that assumption...I found when I replaced my injectors...there was rust and debris that fell down on the sealing surface of the head, when I removed the original injectors. I found this, by taking a peek down the hole after I removed them...and knew there was no way the new injectors would seal with all the rust and debris down there.

So...I rigged up some 1/4" plastic tubing to my vacuum cleaner, and sucked out the holes. Everything sealed up perfect for me. So if my assumption is correct, and you just installed new injectors...might want to make sure the holes are cleaned out, before you re-install the injectors with new washers.

As long as the hole is clean it will seal. I had a holddown nut back off on me before i tampered with anything, tightened it down again and it was good to go.

Take some emery paper and clean up the return line header where it meets with the injectors when you change washers. I had 3 leaky injectors I mucked around with for a couple weeeks until I did this. Been leak free ever since.

It ran OK. They were just seeping a little bit at the return line connections. If your injector washers are leaking, you're probably losing some compression. If you've ever had a loose sparkplug in a gas motor, it will make a heck of a racket. Sounds like a knock. I imagine the same would hold true for a diesel.
