4WD not working

4WD not working

97 dodge cummins
Vacuum is working. When i shift into 4WD nothing happens. No light. Nothing. Any thoughts?

Well, next is to pull the hose to the actuator off and use something like a mityvac to pull a vacuum and see if the actuator is any good.

That's the most probable thing.

Actually it is working. Just not all the time. So I figure I just need a new actuator

What are you doing to test it?
the wheels will have to be turning for it to be able to lock the front axle in.

4WD not working

Really? I was told otherwise. Well at least i fixed my vacuum leak and now have everything working like it should. Can't believe i overlooked the most obvious line there is on the truck.

Oh I wouldn't beat myself up too much, most all of us have done it more than once.............
