47re vs 47rh

What are the plus and minuses of a 47re compared to a 47rh when used for towing application ?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Neither will replace the other in application.

The RH has minimual electronics and uses a mechancial governor.
RE has a electronic governor added. Operated properlly and upgraded either will do job in it's applicable vehicle.

Its easy to change in one direction but not the other .
Using the RE in an older truck [ 95 and older RH ] , you need to change computer , wiring harness , sensors ect.
But to put the RH in a newer truck [ 96 & newer RE ] , you just need to fool the computer .
One of the guys here [ is in the bis. of working with modding these trucks ] went to Goerends , had a built RH , and put it in his 12v around 97-98 .
I forget the why he went that way .

I've heard the sled pullers and drag racers say they prefer the RH.
