47RE Tranny trouble when starting from a stop
Hello everyone I have a 1996 Dodge 12V cummins with 191K on the clock. Transmission got rebuilt 65k ago, I do atf fluid changes every year and the fluid is full, clear and the filter has been changed. Now sometimes when I come to a complete stop it has a hard time getting going again. Sometimes the Rpms go to 15-2000 to get her going again. And other times it's normal and starts under a grand Rpm. It happens whether the truck is completely up to temperature or when I just start it. just started over the past couple weeks. It shifts perfect through every other gear and has no trouble at all once I am moving. I don't know if I need the bands adjusted or the torque converter looked at or what. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you everyone.

Is it possible that when this happens, it is actually starting out in second or third gear, instead of first? Next time it happens, pull the shifter down into manual low and see if it downshifts.
