I changed my fluid and filter about 35k ago, but did not do my bands, it has probably been about 65k without adjustment.
I just did my filter and lower band, did not have tool for upper band. 5/16 female square drive. There was a normal amount of crap on my magnet, no sludge in pan.
Added 4 qts amsoil ATF, but found my magnet on the ground just after

Most times my truck starts in 3rd gear.
Sometimes it starts in 2nd.
It will go manually through the gears.
When I accelerate too quickly, maybe hit 1800rpm it won't upshift until I put it in neutral and back into drive.
The other day when towing I couldn't get out of 2nd gear.

I'm gonna get the tool and do my upper band tomorrow.
Do you guys think that will fix it or is it going to be a solenoid?
I'll probably open it up again next weekend and put my magnet in, should I run some seafoam through it first?

I'll be attempting to tow tomorrow a short distance, so hopefully what i did already will give some improvements.

Governor solenoid and transducer fixed low gears, I'm still having some problems with lock up. Going to start messing with my transmission pressure sensor TPS. I ended up having one of my oil cooler line rubbing against my frame and spring a leak. I fried all my gears and bands and had to have a rebuild at 185,000.
