47RE Hard Shifts
Going through an ordeal with the 1996 2500 Ram 12 Valve.
Went to our trusty mechanic for a coolant and transmission fluid change. The first trip we took (on a weekend) it on to the lake, the bottom radiator hose came off due to the clamp not being properly secured by the repair shop. Once we got it refilled and up an running I took it to a local Parts store to have the ECU checked for codes. There were three codes, all related to the transmission. I took the truck back to the mechanic and he said he would had his transmission guy check it out. The transmission guy gave it a thumbs up.
Month later the motor starts knocking. The truck goes back to the shop and the engine gets rebuilt at the shops expense. New pistons, bearing, rings, etc.
Soon after getting it back again the transmission is shifting hard (seems to be slipping) in the first to gears up and as it slows to a stop. Back to the shop and to the transmission guy again.
Other than the obvious (human error/negligence) to not take it back to this shop anymore, are there any constructive remarks regarding the mechanical symptoms that there may only be a minor issue with the transmission? The vehicle has 116K on it.

Take a good video of its behavior, windows up no radio and just record the tach and speedo, post on youtube and share here- could be just a shift kit that he installed or just a band adjustment.
Here is my RH shifting perfectly:
