47 RH in 1968 Power Wagon

Gentlemen, I've taken the Fuller 10 speed out of this truck because after two years the woman still can't down shift on a hill. She literally has to pull over and start again.

This rebuilt 47RH was very very expensive and I want to hook up the pressure lever correctly. I'm told it's suppose to move as soon as the throttle is applied. My home made foot throttle works very well and could probably run a short linkage from it to the transmission lever. With a little tweeking I could get them both working together.

I have this complicated linkage setting in the junk pile (c pic) and it has two slotted cable ends on it. I don't understand why it has the slotted ends?

I've attached a few photos to help me get a clear understanding of what I'm trying to accomplish.

Here is a couple video's of the 10 speed. I'm going to miss that transmission.

Thank You,
Mike

That Fuller looks to keep your left leg in shape! Oh, and that's a really, really long right turn. Good luck w the conversion.

esde, the left foot only get used when taking off. The rest of the shifting is done with the right foot getting the rpm's lined up.

I'm getting on the freeway during the first video. Too bad the speedometer had a lot of glare cuz we were going about 70mph. The truck cruises real nice with the OD Brownie box

Maybe it'd be easier to just change the woman? Owwwww... that's BAD of me isn't it!

I'm no help with your current problem, but that is one of the coolest Dodges I've seen. Only let the woman drive on flat ground.....

She hasn't driven the truck in the last year after breaking the transfer case output shaft. She was late to work and pulled it into a lower gear while coming to a stop sign and dumped the clutch to help her stop.
Her reply "I do it in my Jetta all the time"

Today I finished up the engine and tranny cross members along with the Brownie and transfer case lever assemble.

So far this 47 RH with billet converter and shafts has been my most single expense on this truck. Sure hope it lasts!

the slotted linkage is really for snow country. snow would build up on the trans and freeze the linkage and hold the throttle open with unwanted results. with the slots it didnt affect the throttle just the shift points on the trans.
