3kgsk and tranny not upshifting
I installed the 3k gsk and my tranny would hang before shifting into 3rd or overdrive (not sure). Rpm's would increase with the engine, but not the speed, then it'd either shift or slam into gear. Now it's doing it all the time for the most part. Sometimes it shifts right to OD and lock up too soon. I've replaced the TPS too.

You slide the plate or an after market?
Sounds as if you are over powering the stock (slop) converter. Trying taking your foot out of it while driving and see if the converter will keep up. Going into lockup with high engine rpm and low tranny rpm is a great wayto reaost the lock up clutch.

#100 plate. I installed the plate a few weeks after the gov spring kit. Sometimes it shifts fine. Sometimes it shifts too soon. Sometimes I let up to get it to shift, other times I have to give it more power. Go figure.

check ur throttle postioning sensor when u installed ur 3kgsk it moves ur throttle which drops ur voltage on ur tps to around 0.40 at idle which should be around 1.2 that was the problem i had when i installed mine and my tranny lasted about a month longer

New TPS. Haven't read the voltage. It started as soon as the 3kgsk kit was installed, then got worse over a period of 2 weeks.
Seems it doesn't always down shift to 1st either upon taking off.

Govenor lever
How/where is it and what do you do to check it?
I had the governor and switch replaced this fall before starting in on the upgrades as it wasn't downshifting. It's still not downshifting.

Sorry missed your question.
Well, I cannot send you to the PDR page that described adjusting the governor lever. They changed the website.
The governor lever is how the p-pump uses the plate to limit fueling.
You can see it after removing the AFC, lifting the fuel shut off lever, and rolling the throttle. It is a steel tip that contacts the fuel plate. If it missed the plate you can jamb the fuel control. Hard to describe without photos.
I would take the other suggestions and check the idle voltage as a start.
