2nd Gen noisier than first Gen?

2nd Gen noisier than first Gen?
It seems that the engine is noisier on my 2nd Gen than my first Gen.Does this have anything to do with a P-pump vs. a VE pump? I think I need my valves adjusted and my timing checked?I don't think the valves have been adjusted for 75,000 miles, and the timing probably never in 120,000miles.Is it time?
