wow i just put a 2002 front axel in my 97,the whole shebang.do those dual piston calipers ever work better than the old ones.rides like a new truck,anyone had any experience with this.

 

ive heard the dual piston calipers stop better, Dads got an 02 3500 and it stops alot better than mine, what does the axle have to do with the ride??

 

the old axel had a lot of worn parts and i now don'thave a lot of clunking and rattling. i put in new springs as well.but the bolts which hold the shocks on and the support arms to the body worn bad.the new front end has bigger support arm bolts,had to drill out the frame holes ,the 02 has much heavier bolts..dodge must have figured this is a weak point ..after seeing this i would agree...jc

 

Was there a lot to the change out? Or is it a bolt in process? I have a 95 and I too have been thinking about this Thanks Jim
