A question on bad injectors. If it had bad injectors wouldn't the truck smoke?

 

ok called and talked to a local diesel truck repair shop and they said it is the injection pump not the injectors. Could the injector pump be leaking fuel in the oil pan?

 

IP would be my last choice, the VE equipped ( 89-93) trucks are more known for that.

You might check the lift pump though, something I hadn't considered.

As for smoking, how long does it take to start making oil?

 

I changed the oil and at the most have drove it 10 miles and it looks like there is a gallon in there again. Its way up on the dip stick

 

my dad has a 05 3500 dodge and he got fuel in his oil and it was the injectors

 

Did the truck smoke?
