180 and 215 gov spring diff??
hi
are the 180 and 215 gov springs diff?
do these engines top out at diff rpms ?
will i gain anything by installing 215 springs in a 180 motor ??
afc spring dif also???

same springs no gain some afc springs are different but you can change the setting on yours to get better low end throttle response just drop in a set of 3000 rpm springs or 4000 with a set of 60lbs valve springs

The springs are different however, not sure on the details. The 180 pumps usually tail off around the 2500 mark and the 215 went to near 2700. A GSK is a cheap upgrade IMHO instead of the whole washer idea.
The AFC is also different. The 180 has lighter spring.

Yeah I think there's a difference too. Have driven a lot of 180 trucks and you can feel them start to defuel and lose power around 2400. My 215 keeps fueling right up to 3000 and the pyro will keep climbing if I hold it at 3000 while climbing a big hill with a trailer.
