Question 12v wastegate actuator airsupply line

Can anyone send me a digital photograph of the injector side of a stock 94 dodge diesel? My steel high pressure line that runs from the wastegate actuator up and under the valve covers is open on the injector side of the motor. I cant seem to find anyone that can tell me specifically, for sure, where that is supposed to hook up to on the AFC. Does anyone out there know? the cummins parts guy told me that it looked like someone had disconnected that line to increase the boost, but that was after a lot of headscratchin..... does anyone know where this line runs, or can point me to a good picture of it??? thanks...

Mine hooks to the intake manifold, right behind the injector pump. It comes out with a 90 degree elbow pointing backwards with a rubber line connecting them. S orry I don't have a digital camera.

Sorry, I just went out & looked again, the elbow has a plastic line (mabey 1/8"), conneted to it running to the back of a T. But there is another fitting between the plastic line and the T. The T is comming out of the back of the AFC, then the 3rd leg of the T is where the rubber lineis that runs over the top to the waste gate. Sorry about the miss info. Im in almost over my head here, but mabey some of this might help. Somebody smarter will probablycome along soon.

Here's a picture with the AFC removed, it goes on the rear end of the injection pump. The line you're wondering about connects where the valve is located. My bet is yours is plugged at this point or your truck would be gutless.

that looks like the place! i have a blank plug there where you have that elbow. now, is the fix as simple as threading in the nipple CGP gave me and hooking up a new hose? its been run this way for at least 12,000 miles, and possibly much longer, will the wastegate function right? or could it be froze from nonuse? thanks for your help...

It wont hurt your mileage any, just leave it unhooked If you have the stock plate in there you probably wont build enough boost to over spin your turbo. If you have a gauge keep the boost under 32 or so, which it probably wont hit anyway ,and you dont need the wastegate.Alot of guys unhook them on here.

I agree, leave it unhooked, won't hurt a thing.

Yes it is as easy as getting a 1/8" barbed fitting and a piece of hose. But like the other guys said, leave it disconnected. It's no fun having your boost cut off at 20psi.
