Has or does anyone run one of these? Truck I am looking at is said to have one in it along with 300 injectors. Is this a good combo for towing? I am not looking to make the most black smoke, just wanting a reliable tow combo to keep the egt's down. Truck I am looking at is a 1995 5-speed 4x4 ext cab with 3.54 gears. thanks

 

I have the #12 plate in my 1996 3500 with 3:54 and 5 speed, stock injectors. I use it to tow our 15,500 5th wheel and am very satified with it. No smoke or high EGT.

 

Who makes a #12 plate?

dosnt look very agressive, whats the advantage to it?

 

The "weaker" plates will help preserve your clutch/auto tranny.
