02 front axle in a 97,big brakes
i have just trans planted a 2002 front axle in my 97.the brakes are dual piston.i had to change the drive shaft as the 02 takes a small u joint.drivers side 97 brake line fit on to the 02 caliper on the drivers side.the 02 line worked on the passenger side.seems the hubs may be 1/2 inch wider.should have er running tomorrow.my old front end was severly beat up by bush running. i am hope this gets rid of a lot of clunks and rattles. i noticed the shock bolts were severly worn and the rubbers for the springs pounded thru.also the top support arm bolt was worn.i had to drill out the mounts for the 02 larger bolts where the support arms joined the frame, but things seemed to fit ok.i have the o3 track bar kit and the bearing brace for the steering box.has any body done this mod.how did it work for you?

I will be watching this thread because I have been thinking of doing this for a long time with my 96 and 99. I so want dual piston calipers, and slip-off rotors.
Take pics of the mods you had to make, if you can.
Thanks,
Chris
