TDI mileage idea

All right guys, I was looking over the forums at TDIclub.com, and I came across a thread that said they could increase aerodynamics by dimpling the back end of the car (with a ball peen hammer) to break up the laminar flow of air across the car. Does this sound right to you?

I've decided that you'd get a better mileage increase if you hung the ball peen hammer from your visor.

This guy has the right idea.

To increase milage,......reduce weight.

I have three boys age 6, 2.5 and 10 months that try this theory often. It is not funny any longer. I have to keep the tools up high these days and sticks, rocks and garden tools are not allowed in the garage any more.

you'll never be able to tell if your mileage is better if you keep getting the dents fixed.

A regular golf gets about 30 miles per gallon. I don't know about a dented golf ball. You would probably have a hard time getting the door open.

That mileage trick only works when you drive your dimpled Golf on the Green.

If that was the case, why don't the fastest olympic runners have "Cottage Cheese" thighs?

That was an image I could have done without right after lunch, especially after that double CHEESEburger I just ate.
