Gooseneck hitch

I've been looking for a car trailer but I keep finding great prices on gooseneck trailers that will be fine for hauling a car but also have a heavier capacity if I want to haul more stuff. Who makes a good drop down gooseneck hitch? I had a 1 ton dually a while back that had one and I liked it because I could still use the bed when I wanted to.

I've got a 2001 Ram 2500 4X4. It was a commercial farm truck before I got it so I'm sure the bed is beat up under the liner. While it is a gasser, I believe the engine and tranny have been rebuilt so pulling won't be a problem.

Go for the B/W! I installed mine the same week I bought the truck (10 years ago) and love it.

Yeti,

I used the B&W 1500 system on my 5500:

Then I put a hatch over the LP that I use for the electrical hookup:

Mumby has a turnover ball that is rated for more weight and is stronger built than the BW. It is more money since it is Made in Canada. I have a BW (in truck when I bought it). I would definitely get a Mumby net time if I had a choice.
