Homemade Engine Stand

Homemade Engine Stand
Went out to my shop and found my 06 CR motor lying on the concrete and found the 2,000# Harbor Freight Chinese special engine stand to be the culprit. Where the rectangular tubing is welded to the piece of flat and bolted to the roll around frame tore like butter. So I am trying to come up with my own design, which shouldn't be too difficult. I just have a few questions... Thinking of doing an end mounted stand, something like this....
I would like to know, how strong are the threads in these cast iron blocks? Are they inserts? Will 4 grade 10.9 metric bolts hold this beast up safely without risking the threads in the block shearing?

I'm all for overkill when fabing and building stuff but WOW!! If you build something like that you will never have to worry about it breaking
As long as the bolts have a full thread engagement you are fine. A good rule of thumb is the threads need to be threaded in 1 1/2 times the width. So a 1/2 inch bolt needs to be threaded 3/4 inch or more for full sheer and tensile strength.
