Who is using a centrifugal bypass oil filter?

Do you like it?

Seen real benefits?

Which brand are you using?

Have you had oil analysis done since install?

Cost?

How difficult and where on truck did you install it?

Thank You in advance for any and all replies!

I've seen them used on larger natural gas engines quite a lot. It is amazing how much dirt etc. they remove. They definetly work.

The ones I have seen were all "spinner" brand.

The company I used to work for put the mini version on thier service trucks (powerstroke diesels) but I don't know how it worked out since I quit shortly after they were installed.

I have never seen an UOA for an engine with on on, but the oil cleanliness has to be very good.

I have thought about installing one, but they are a bit spendy.

The gravity fed centrifuge spinner from Fleetguard is very economical compared to the other brands, and it is designed specifically for the 5.9 litre. You just need to buy your hoses and fittings, but the installation guide tells you everything you need.

Centrifugal Bypass Oil Filters

Just received a Spinner II last week. Hope to get it installed soon.
Only run a single battery, will mount it to the radiator support as high as possible to insure good oil return to the oil pan.

Does that unit just gravity drain, or does it have some sort of float arrangement in it? It is different than the Spinner I was thinking of a few years back. I don't think that model is available anymore.

I wouldn't mind more info on that Fleetguard unit that was mentioned earlier.
